Funky Fruits of Fredericksburg...Week 2

Well since I have had an overwhelming response to my fruits of Fredericksburg... I must continue. (I am absolutely kidding) Kiwano fruit, aka, horned melon. Disgusting. Well all hated it. It tastes like yard clippings. It is orange and spikey on the outside, has the texture of snot on the inside, and well, looks like snot. Yummy? NOT A CHANCE!!!
This is Isabella after trying it. Don't you want to serve it for dinner tonight?

This is too funny! Love the picture of your sweet baby girl. I've seen that very same look on my kids' faces... often at supper time.

I just tagged you on my blog.

Miss Kristie, not to nag or anything, but I was just wondering something. No big deal or anything, but it might have slipped your attention, this small little detail in your life. But it didn't slip mine. Not that I have to have my way all the time. But sometimes is always nice. Just thought I'd slip you a little note. No big thing. But... ummm... could you please... blog some time. Soon. Cuz, ya know, it ain't right to leave a gal hanging. I must know about more funky fruits. Okay, seriously, I have to tell you this. No kidding here. Last Wednesday's Times News had a special section that I'm sure was dedicated to you and your crew. For real. It's title... "What is that? A primer on'specialty produce' and how to use them." I laughed out loud. And then had to explain to my kids why mommy was laughing at the fruit page. I don't think they got it. Wish I could link you to the page, but I couldn't find anything helpful on the paper's web site. Still, too funny!
